Dear Scott, There are lots more funeral marches, by Beethoven (slow movements of the Eroica and of the Op.26 piano sonata, the latter reorchestrated for a play, Leonore Prohaska), Handel (Saul), Purcell (for Mary II), Wagner (Siegfried's in Götterdämmerung), Berlioz (Symphonie funèbre et triomphale), Elgar (Grania and Diarmid), etc. Wedding music has to include the march-chorus from Lohengrin.
Now, when are you going to get around to my book?
Best wishes, Paul Griffiths

Paul,

I only included those tracks from my iTunes that had the specific words "Wedding" or "Funeral" in the title. I would have many more, including those you mention, if I expanded to other languages, just like in my God post.

The book review will be posted sometime today!
